We start today with a 20-minute transfer to the village of Nahorevo. After a short warm up ride through the countrysides surrounding Sarajevo we continue climbing for some 8km along the old highway route to the Grasshopper Waterfall (90m).
After the visit to the Skakavac waterfall we’re heading further to Crepoljsko and Bukovik, peak points of mountains on the outskirts of Sarajevo.
A visit to the Grasshopper waterfall along the old highland route and a fast downhill into the old town of Sarajevo.
The name Skakavac means grasshopper in Bosnian, and it’s the largest continually flowing waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina at a height of 98 meters. From below, we have a fantastic view of water, mist and forest.
This wonderful area pass through thick conifer forests, making it perfect for mountainbiking due to a large number of macadam (old type road) and forest roads.
The trail is perfect for mountainbike lovers, as well as for those who enjoy exploring hilly and wooded landscapes.
